Every weapon packs its own unique punch, and all feel gratifying to use thanks to the tight gunplay, including the more experimental types such as the brutal Eviscerator or the powerful Microwave Gun. Killing Floor 2 takes the well-worn blueprint of the zombie wave defense mode, first popularized by Call of Duty: World at War nearly a decade ago, and gives it a much needed adrenaline boost, even if it doesn’t radically change the formula in the process.Īs a first-person shooter, Killing Floor 2 is at the top of its game. Then I found myself playing Killing Floor 2, backed into a corner with only a nearly empty shotgun for defense, helplessly hip-firing as dozens upon dozens of infected enemies charged towards me. I’d become so desensitised to their moans and groans, that they were more likely to elicit a yawn from me rather than a gasp. Platform: PlayStation 4 (Version reviewed), PCĪfter years of consuming dozens upon dozens of zombie movies, tv shows, games and books, I didn’t think the brain-eating undead could scare me anymore. Like all the other people who left this discussion board (due to TWI ignoring fans and their fan boys being hostile over their opinion), I did once leave after Airship and Monster Ball update because it was a really really trashy update, but I came back since I really enjoyed Shopping Spree, eventhough it was made by the community, the fact TWI accepted it gave me a tiny hope, I'll probably leave again soon though.By Alex Avard 6 years ago As an uncompromising take on a tired genre, Killing Floor 2 is the best kind of messy. Maybe biggest fan boy was actually me considering I still have 0.1% hope that TWI might actually reconsider it, and actually make this game better. You're right though, TWI doesn't really give a ♥♥♥♥ about their game or fans anymore so I agree about all these rambling might be useless. I don't know about other people but I don't really think KF1 was the best game, it was an lovable eurojank but it was still an eurojank, KF2 is polished in some aspect, but KF1 had a very good art direction, whereas KF2 is just a dog vomit. I''ve put 660+ hours into KF1, I left it because it's drying up and people are modding it to where it isn't KF1 anymore. Phoobie a écrit :TWI isn't going to bend over backwards to a small circlejerk discussion about the good ol' days. ![]() But it might share the same fate if TWI doesn't put in more effort. KF2 isn't much different, but it at least tries not to be a one trick pony. As far as themes go, I never took it's atmosphere seriously because it looked pretty generic amongst the backdrop of zombie games flooding the market during the time. TWI isn't going to bend over backwards to a small circlejerk discussion about the good ol' days. If you guys want to capture the atmosphere and gameplay of the original. We are actually discussing stuff like this becuase this game has a potential and we want the game to be better, if we didn't care about the game and 100% prefers other game, I think thread like this would die a lot faster. Why don't you just play your damn game if you don't want to discuss stuff in a "discussion forum". ![]() ![]() It was a great great homage to 28 days later. ![]() Panc a écrit :spookyness aside, KF1 had better art consistency and atmosphere.
